Jacob's Valentines Party

Next we headed to School to Jacob's valentines Party.

We matched up word on hearts with words. decorated hearts.

and ate treats. Ben again thought he was big stuff because he got to participate right along side Jacob.

Hailey's Valentines Party

Ben and I went to school and volunteered and helped in Hailey's class for their Valentines Party. Ben enjoyed decorating cupcakes with the big kids. I felt bad for Hailey the boy she likes brought another little girl a flower for valentines day. I was heart broken for her, she just said mom did you see he brought Lauren a Flower. So I just tried not to make a big deal about it. She enjoyed her first gluten free party. I made sure I took her gluten free cupcake and made sure she had frosting and sprinkles she could use.

kartchner caverns

The kartchner cavern field trip with Hay I fell asleep on the way up when I woke up she was in a deep conversation with the girl in front of us. Made me feel better about the whole no one wants to sit with me conversation.
We got there early and walked around the visitors center until it was our turn to go to the cave. It was great.

It snowed the second half we were there wow was it cold brrrrrrrrr. These AZ babies were freezing. We had to eat our lunch in the blowing wind and snow.

Penguin

Jacob got to bring this penguin home with him from school and he had to write a short story about him and read stories there was also a camera that he was suppose to take a picture of him and the penguin but like we have discussed before Jacob has poor impulse control and instead took a picture of Brooklyn our carpool buddy and when I read the instructions it said there were only enough pictures on the camera for each child to have 1 picture. So I took some with my camera and sent them on to Mrs. Orr.

Boty

Hailey had to make a Robot out of totally recyclable material for class. Ryan saved stuff for weeks. I think her and Ryan did a great job on her robot. He is so cute. She even named him Boty. and the kids talk to him, and steal the paper clips off my desk and and feet them to him.

Hailey's Christmas Party

Hailey's class Christmas party was today. Ben and I went and helped. They were having a cookie decorating party. Well since Hailey is now gluten free I asked her if she wanted me to make her gluten free cookies or the rice crispy treats. She choose the rice crispy treats so I stayed up and made them for her and she decorated them just like everyone else decorated their cookie, Ben liked it because he got her cookie.

Jacob's Christmas Party

I went to help out with Jacob Christmas party it was a Polar express party. we listened to the Polar Express book, drank hot chocolate. They decorated stockings . They got to wear their Pajamas. which Jacob got a pair of footed pajamas from grandma Carol at our early Welch Christmas Party.

Halloween parties at school

The big kids had their Halloween parties at school today. First Ben and i went and helped in Jacobs classroom.


They have always decorated a pumpkin, and I don't know if they changed the rules on me or if I didn't read them but I noticed this year it said the pumpkin was suppose to be a sidekick to your character. So Jacob and i had no idea how to draw a Parrot on his pumpkin so I suggested we staple one on I was so glad that he liked that Idea.
Then we headed out to wait for the Literary day parade. The kids aren't allowed to wear "Halloween" costumes they have to be someone from a book so Jacob was a pirate and Hailey was an Indian. I tell my kids I'm only buying one costume so every year in the past Hailey has picked what she wanted for Halloween and just got something out of the dress up box to wear to school. This year they decided to pick costumes they could wear for both.

Ben wanted to be Woody from the start and Jacob told him he couldn't be because Woody wasn't from a book. Ben got upset and started to cry and I had to explain to the big kids that Ben could be what ever he wanted to be because he doesn't go to school yet.


My friend Heavenly that I go to church with I also carpool with and her Little boy Jake and Ben are in the same Nursery class and they are trouble. They are good friends. Every morning when I pick Brooklyn up Jake's at the front door waiving hi to Ben and Ben asks can I go play with Jake?

My niece Valerie goes to the same school so we got to see her in the parade too!


Hailey is with the big kids now so we only saw her for like 2 seconds as they walked by us on there way to the main building. She's going to be so sad next year they don't let 4th grader dress up or participate in the parade and I think she's going to very sad and broken hearted.

Then we went to Hailey's class and helped with her party. Ben thought he was big stuff getting to go to the big kids parties.

I don't know what Hailey's doing in his picture I'm sure she's being a bird or some other animal. Hailey's pumpkin/sidekick was the horse from her Kaya book.

Super smart Jacob Boy

I got a note today from Jacob's teacher today I'm not sure on the exact words but something like, because you have the smartest 5 year in the WORLD he will be doing the weekly letters on the spelling test with the class, he will also be assigned 5 words to Be tested on too. I'm soooo proud of him.

Jacob's Cottage fair

This was Jacob's first cottage fair. I was so excited for him for it that we scheduled his tonsil surgery around it. I didn't want him to miss his first cottage fair and I'm so glad we did because they did this little presentation. It was so cute.
