Gateway Dental Care Christmas Party

The office Christmas party this year was at Oreganos. It rained like Crazy so we got stuck at 3 different tables which made it kind of hard to visit with everyone but luckily I got to sit with my girls Sam and Suzy. So that made it OK.

Dr. Erskine and his wife Sheri, Dr. Barber, Katie and her Date. Suzy and Sam and April.

Amanda and her Boyfriend Derek, Joyce (Dr. B's wife) Dr. Erskine and Sheri, Katie, Amanda(Martini) and her boyfriend Stan, Wendy and her husband Dave.

Yadi and her Husband, Dr. Erskine and Sheri. Myrna and her husband Frank, Amanda and her boyfriend Derek, April.

Joyce, Katie and her date, Dr. Barber. Suzy and Sam.

Me and Ryan. Help he's attacking me!!!

We do a gift exchange where everyone brings a gift of the same price and everyone draws a number and the person with #1 picks a gift and then #2 either steals that gift or picks a new gift and it keeps going until everyone has a gift. Dr. Barber stole my gift. so I had to steal someone else's. Then we also all pitched in and got the Dr's gifts to a dinner theater from us girls.

It was a good time. the dinner made me sick. But we still had a good time having a night out with out the kids.

Gateway Dentalcare Pictures

I went today and had our office Christmas picture taken. We met at a park, a few people got lost a few people were late but it all worked out in the end.

After that we Myrna, Sam and I went out for drink well they had drinks and I had a soda. We visited, I love these girls I never get to spend time with them so it was nice to get to spend a little time with them but I had to cut it short and go home to my boy who was still not in the the best shape from his surgery and I promised Ryan Chipotle if he took care of the kids so I could go out with the girls.

Me--whose coughing and of course it was Hay great another sick kid. She crawled in Bed with me
Hailey-- "mom do I have to go to school"
Me-- "I will have to talk to Daddy when he gets out of the shower"
Hailey-- "well if you had to make a Hypothesis" and then starts to explain to me what a hypothesis is.

Ben took a REALY late nap, so I let him stay up after the big kids went to bed, and for a while he watched TV with Ryan and then he came and sat and watched TV with me. About 11
Ben-I go to bed
Me-OK
and he started that way he got to the end of my desk he said.
Ben-I go to bed, you come help
he reminded me of royalty that was summoning his help.

Hailey informed me tonight that she could not eat her Potatoes and Corn because she was a carnivore not a herbivore. So I told her she had to eat both. She tells me that would make me a omnivore, and I’m notan omnivore, I’m a Hailey-sauris-Rex and that means I’m a Carnivore

Ben is convinced that cows and horses are Moo's and nothing I can do can convince him otherwise. We were watching a movie Ben--"Mommy see the Moo"
Me--"No Ben that's a horse they go Neigh"
Ben--"Mommy see the Moo"
Me--"No Ben it's a horse they say Neigh"
This went back and forth several more times with Ben getting louder and louder with every turn until finally I said
Me--"Yes Ben I see the Moo
and then he was fine and quit arguing with me

We were driving through the gateway airport on our way back to Ryan's office and Ben Saw the aiplanes and he starts screaming
Ben--"Mommy see the flies"
Me--"Yes Ben"
Ryan--"Ben those are airplanes can you say airplane"
Ben puts his finger up to his mouth and goes "hmmmm"
Ben--"No that a fly"

February sometime, 2010
I was asleep and I was awakened to a little voice saying "Mommy"
I open my eye and realize it's pitch black and 6:00am in the morning. I look and Ben is standing next to my bed with two great big suckers in his mouth with one in each cheek.
Ben--"Mommy, I got candy"

I got an Iphone and Ben is so smart that he can use it and play games on it. and win he looses and the screen flashes. he waves his hand in the air and says "I won, I won"

Me--"My dad's the best dad in the world"
Jacob--"No he's not He's old"

I was sitting on the couch checking my email & Ben is sitting next to me playing quietly & all of a sudden I get this sharp pain in my hip and I look down & he's taken a pin out of my pin cushion and is stabbing me with it.

I am so sad. When I updated my background it deleted 3 months worth of my funny stuff I'd written about the kids. =(

I was reading to the kids and I was being silly and replaced a word with pumpkins and Hailey says to me
Hailey--"you know mommy if you sounded it out you wouldn't get the words wrong"

This one's not on my kids it's on my niece
She asked for a jar to put bugs in. When my sister looked in the jar all the bugs were smooshed and dead. Valerie had one in her hand it was smooshed and Sam said "why did you do that" and Valerie said "if you smoosh them they don't get away." And when it started to wiggle, she said "wait I've gotta squish it more"

I went to start my car so we could go to lunch with Ryan and my battery was dead. So my neighbor tried to help me jump start it, but no luck. I told the kids the car battery was dead so we had to go back in the house we couldn't go to lunch with daddy
Jacob--"Well mommy just put new batteries in you car."
Me--"We don't have the kind of batteries my car needs"
Jacob-"Sure we do the batteries are in daddy's desk drawer."
I guess when your 4 a "AA" battery will fix anything

Mandy, Ryan, & I were discussing King Henrey the 8th
Hailey--"Mommy did King Henery the "EGG" really cut his wifes heads off?"
After we got done laughing our heads off we explained to her that it was "King Henery the 8th"

Jacob--"Mommy what kind of place is this?"
I say--"It's a bank"
Jacob asks--"Do they have an aligator?"
I say--"um no" I'm very confused at this point to why my son thinks the bank would have an aligator
Jacob says--"well do they have stairs"
I say--"um I don't think so, Bubbi why do you want to know if the bank has an aligator?"
Jacob says--"because I want to go up and down"
at this point I realize he means and "Elevator"

Sund. March 29th, 2009
we went away for the weekend and the big Kids stayed with Ryan's dad and his wife. When it was time to leave to come back he told Tasha
Jacob--"I don't want to go home I want to stay here."
Tasha--"what about Mommy and Daddy"
Jacob--"They can come visit me here"
it's nice to know were so loved

We stayed the night at my moms so we could spend more time with my brother and
Hailey-- "I want to sleep with Uncle Bubbi"
Vicki--"no thats not such a good idea remember uncle Bubbi snores really load remember he snores like a frieght train"
The next morning the kids got up really early and we could hear jim snoring in the living room.
Hailey--"wow mommy your right Uncle Bubbi does snore like a Freak Train"
after I stopped laughing I explained to her that it was a freight train, not a freak train.

Jacob--"Mommy I go to big boy school tomorrow?"
I say-- "No Jacob next year when Hay goes to 2nd grade you'll go to big boy school, but I decided not to let you go I will miss you to much"
Jacob-- "Don't worry mommy I will come back"

Hailey--"when I grow up I'm going to be a Beterinarian (I think she meant veterinarian), but only for dogs"
I say-- "why only dogs?"
Hailey--"cuz I'm allergic to cats, and people would bring me there cats, and i'd be like achoo all the time and that would be very distracting for me."

Vicki & Ryan

We got married in 1998. This means we’re officially an old married couple we just celebrated 10 years. Ryan went to ASU and got his degree in Aviation. He worked for sky harbor for a little while and then in May of 2006 he and a friend from school started an aviation business together, and they are loving it. I have been working in the dental field for 10 years now it started that I was just helping Ryan's dad in his office and it blossomed from there into a career. I managed my friend’s office for a year until we got busy enough to need another gal, so now I do the billing from home. Which works out well, I can still work and be home with the kids who are the light of my life.
