The long awaited Welch Family Picture

My oldest niece is 14 years old and this is the first time in 14 year that we have all been in the same place at the same time, and will probably be the last time for a while that it will happen. So My mom and I decided to strike while the iron is hot and have a much needed, probably never gonna happen again family picture taken. So after scheduling and re scheduling and a little fighting and having to reschedule again Thanks to the lovely Ruth Nickle we got our family pictures.

From right to Left My family Ryan, Ben, Vicki, Jacob, Hailey--My Parents Kent(Pappy), Carol(Grandma Carol), My sister's family Sam, John, and Valerie, My brother's Family Jim, Shell, & Cyndi.

Ben would tell you "Ewwwww that's disgusting" about the kissing, My parents have been married for 38 1/2 years. They drive each other crazy at times, But they truly do love each other. They have been through ALOT together but there always there for each other and us.

I'm not sure what they're laughing about but they sure look happy. The original 5 Welch's My brother Jim, My dad Kent(Pappy), Me, my sister Sam, My mom Carol(grandma Carol)

I saw this one time and I Thought it was to funny not to share
"Sister's by chance Friends because mom said so"

All 6 of my parents grandchildren. My brothers girls Shell-14, Cyndi-12, My kids Ben-2, Jacob-5, Hailey-8, My sister's little girl Valerie-5

My parents have never had their grandkids all together and they themselves be there. I was able to get them all together minus Ben in Denver the first year I brought the girls home with me and we had a picture taken of just the grandkids and one taken of the three kids and the grandkids

The Welch guys My sister's husband John, My Ben, husband Ryan, Jacob, My brother Jim, and Dad Kent

These two were them being goofy.

The Welch Ladies. Top-My brothers daughters Cyndi & Shelli and me
bottom-My sister Sam and her daughter Valerie, My mom Carol and my Hailey

My brother and his girls. I love my Niece but she's 14 and she wasn't super excited about having her picture taken with her dad, and she made this horrible scowley face until my sister gave her a hard time and then we all started harassing her so she started to laugh and we got some good pictures.

I thought this Picture of my brother came out really good.

My beautiful Nieces Shell & Cyndi

They look like they are having a good time together but I think at this point Shell had pinched Cyndi. Sisterly love.

More of my beautiful Nieces

My sister Sam and her family

Sam, John, and Valerie
This is my youngest Niece Valerie, my sister and her husband adopted her from Guatemala when she was an infant. She hates to have her picture taken and wasn't going to get more then 2 feet away from her mama. So this one came out great you can't even tell that my sister is sitting right there next to her.

My super cute family Jacob(Bubbi), Me(Vicki), Ben(Benners)Hailey(Haybug), Ryan

Ben would say Ewwwwwww

My guys I love these both I would like the first one better if Ben didn't look so annoyed.

Me and My girl

I love when she makes this face, I think it's supper funny.

See he can be sweet. I had every shot planned out which ones had to be first who was in each one and when we were done Jacob said what about one of just me and you.

I said give me a kiss and she snapped the picture just at the right time. He was so tired by the end and you can tell in this picture he is pooped out.

Me and my girls. I have no nephew's only nieces so I wanted one of me and my girls.

These are all of the kids with just one of their cousins.

Shell with Hailey and Valerie

Jacob hates family pictures as much as his daddy so at this point he was done and Shell was trying to make him smile.

Shell and Ben, Cyndi and Hailey

Cyndi and Jacob and Valerie

Cyndi and Ben

Valerie and Hailey and Jacob. This picture is cute but it's very fitting of these two 5 year old who are always fighting. They were actually fighting over the rock.

Valerie and Jacob and Ben

My poor Jacob was so pooped we went to dinner right next door to the pictures and Jacob got 2 bites into his food and fell asleep. He's always been like this falling asleep in the oddest places.

Hailey hamming it up for Uncle Bubbi.

Pre baptism work

Hailey is so excited to get baptized tomorrow. After pictures and dinner we went over to the church to get the food ready. I decided to have the after party/reception at the church building because not counting any friends just with Ryan's family and mine we were going to have 25 people and that's just too many for me to handle in my little house. And I have no idea how many of our friends are coming so we made a bunch of food. I subscribe to Grandma Annie's way of thinking it's better to have to much food then not enough.

Little Ham helping Aunt Mammy make the trifles.

Mammy making trifles and the big kids putting out cups.

Jacob was a little jealous of all the attention Hay was getting but he was still eager to help putting cups on the table and lineing up crackers on the tray was a good job for my little OCD boy.

Benners was pretty much in the way most of the time. an yes he has no pants on don't judge me. The potty training is still a work in progress.

Jacob keeping himself busy and Ryan slicing up fruit for the waters

more trifle, and it takes 2 of them to hold down the chair. Good thing Jacob could help Shell hold it down so the chair didn't float away.

Baptism food prep

Mom came over to help us make food for Hailey's baptism party. Hailey really wanted to make 8 shaped sugar cookies, so Grandma Jammie made us a batch of sugar cookie dough and mom and i rolled it out and Hay & mom cut them out. I'm not sure what we did wrong but no matter what we tried they either fell apart or stuck to the cookie sheet. So it didn't make Hay very happy but we had to scrap the cookies. We still made chocolate chip cookies and Hailey's other request was cheese balls. Hailey & Jacob really wanted to help so they both got to help with cheese balls and cookies.

I enlisted the big girls help Cyndi pitched in, but Shell wasn't feeling well I'm not sure if it was a gluten attack or the stomach yuck that's going around my family, but either way we let her sleep on the couch.

Robin Hood

We finally got to see Robin Hood today. We have been trying to see it as a family since the girls got here but we kept getting sick. I think Dad's the only one that hasn't had this stomach bug. So we took the little kids to the play place and all of us big people went to see Robin hood. It was a little slow, and a little violent, but it was good and it was nice to get to do something all together. Well Ben's first trip to the play place didn't go so well, he stole toys, took everyone popcorn and at the very end peed his pants. So they told me he was to young and he could come back when he was a little older. Then we headed over to the bookstore and everybody got a new book, and headed over to out back to have a nice gluten free meal. It was a great day together.

My girls

I love my nieces. My brothers girls come and visit us every summer for the last 4 years and the kids and I love the time with them.

Jacob crawled up and was snuggling with shell and i told him to stop cause he was my boy. So with that sinister smile he says to me "nope I'm Shell's boy" little stink

Ben loves anything electronic so when Cyndi lou had her game boy out Ben was right there in her lap.

The last day of school

Today was the last day of school. It was good and bad. Hailey and I are both looking forward to the summer. I'm not like most moms I love when my kids are out of school and home with me. But we love Mrs. Tomas and we are going to miss her next year. We're not ready to move on with out her. She has been such a great teacher, and Hay and I are both attached to her, I wish we could take her with us and not have to break in a new teacher.

I left the boys home with Shell and Cyndi and went to Hay's end of the year party. They had Pizza and treats and watched a slide show Mrs. Tomas put together.

Mis matched Pajama Day

I'm not sure why they even had the last week of school. All they did was play, have fun, and goof around. Today was mis matched pajama day. I don't know what was with the cowgirl hat but she's a cute girl.

Girls Night out.

We got a rare chance tonight to have a Welch's girls night out. The only one that was missing was Valerie but She was a little too young for the movie we went to see so she stayed home with her Daddy.

Me, Mom, Hailey & Sam, Cyndi, Shell.

We went to Cheese cake Factory for dinner which use to be one of my favorites but since the Celiacs I hadn't been there. Well it came out to be somewhat difficult for Shell and I. Have I mentioned my oldest niece has found out she has celiacs too? Well anyway ALL of there salad dressings have gluten in them, so we ended up having Burgers with no buns. Having Celiacs sucks but I can't imagine how hard it is to have it and be 14. And having to constantly be the odd one in the group saying oh I can't have that. But she's a strong girl and the one good thing is she found out early in life so she isn't as set in her ways as I am so she can get on a better diet.

Hay taking pictures with Grandmas phone.

I know I'm silly, but I asked one of the Movie theater people to take our picture. Who knows when we'll have a chance to have a girls night out with all of us. We saw Letters to Juliet which was super cute and I loved. It was a little to big for Hailey she got a little board at points and I would have to shush her but I'm still glad we took her, it was fun to have her there.

crazy hair day

Today was crazy hair day at school so I put Hay's hair up in multiple ponies then she came in with her old dance skirt and asks me to help her put it in her hair. Even though I was not sure how it would look I helped her get it on and pinned the sides back with clips so she could see. She was very happy with the result. I guess that's all that really matters is that she was happy with the result.

Kids & there phones

This picture cracked me up. Shell is constantly texting on her phone & Ben is always stealing mine to play games. So when he climbed up there and snuggled up under her blanket with her. I had to take a picture of them with their phones.

Funny!!!

Shell & I saw this sign in Michael's and I thought it was funny and true!!
