Owens Lake Trip

While Chris & Toni were here we went to the lake. We left Ben & Jacob at home with the Lucinda.

Us chilling on the boat.

Me and my cute girl and Toni looking good.

I'm not sure why Ashley's giving me the evil eye but she is. Flex those muscles.

me skiing, crossing the wake and my first time slaloming. I had never dropped a ski before.

We stopped at the little beach down the canyon and ate our snack and let Hailey play in the sand she made a hole and filled it with water.

Hailey loves the shark(Banana) she wouldn't let Ryan drive very fast. She kept telling him slower. But Uncle Chris figured out how to do it with out her noticing. He just slowly sped up and she had a blast.

They found a rope swing that someone had left behind, and they took turns. Hailey, Toni and I declined our turns but the rest of them had a good time

Hailey was scared to get in the water, but somehow Aunt Ashley talked her into getting in.

Rock Climbing

We went Rock Climbing while Chris and Toni were here. I had no desire to do it but I went along because that's what everyone wanted to do. It was so much fun. I really enjoyed it.

I'm not really sure what they are doing but they sure look like they're having fun.

We learned how to climb and belay first before he let us loose on our own.
Toni and Mandy showing their skills

Grandma entertaining Big Ben, Ryan climbing I know it looks like he's using that ladder, but i promise it's just a trick of the eye.

Me and Jammie almost to the top. Reach Jammie reach!!!

Chris showing his belaying skills.

Ryan entertaining Big Ben

Mandy at the top.

Chris at the top and Toni working her way to the top.

Me next to the wall I just climbed. It was called stuck in the corner. Ashley showing her mad skills

They had a little kid climbing area. Jacob was fine with climbing up but then he would refuse to come back down so one of us would have to climb up and help him down.

Ben loved the little kids climbing wall. He went up and down a dozen times. The only problem was he wasn't very good at the down. He would try to jump down instead of climbing down.

Attacking Uncle Chris

The kids love Uncle Chris. He plays rough with them like their daddy does. The problem is when uncle Chris gets tired and ready to be done the kids are still wanting to play. So they keep attacking him to try to get him to play with them. Poor Uncle Chris. Luckily he got to go back to Grandma Jammie's house to have some peace.

My super smart girl

Hailey's teacher called today to let me know that they had almost finished there beginning of the year testing, She told me Hailey was reading at the 4th grade level. So they would be moving her up to the highest 2nd grade reading group and they had to do another test but if she did as well on that test as she had on all the others she would be moving her up into the 3rd grade class for her reading. I'm so proud of her. She's so smart. I just love that she's not struggling. Now we just have to work on her handwriting and we'll be good to go.

Indoor Skydiving

Chris and his wife Toni came into town for a visit from Boston. The first thing they did was go indoor skydiving. Toni went along and took pictures and video. They said it was a lot of fun. I think they are crazy.

The videos are really cool. If you watch them I suggest you turn the sound off on your computer because the sound is really load

Picture day

Today was Hay's picture day at school. I always take a picture of her before she leaves. This is going to sound braggart but my picture always turns out better then the one they take at school.

Good opportunity to take a picture of all 3 of my cute stinky kids

Ben didn't want Jacob in his picture. But Jacob wanted to take a picture with Ben. So they were fighting, and Ben won.

Family Home evening

Hailey did the lesson for FHE tonight she just had to read the lesson. When we came in the living room she had decorated the coffee table with her friend magazines and her little scriptures. We laughed to ourselves and I told Ryan she was a Relief Society president in training.

Banana Bread

I got in the mood to make Banana Bread so when Hay got home from school I let the kids help me. They thought they were big stuff.

and of course big Ben had to get involved he climbed up there with the big kids. The sad thing is the Banana bread didn't come out. I've made Banana Bread 100s of times in my life and it's always turned out great. But this was almost burned on the outside and this weird not fully cooked on the inside. The kids and I were very disappointed. The house smelled great like it should but there was no yummy bread to eat.

Jacob's first day of school

Today was Jacob's first day of school. I told him he couldn't go and he told me tough he had to go to school. He was so excited to go to big boy school. When I set his clothes out he said to me "mommy these are church clothes" so I had to explain to him that we wear nicer clothes when we go to school.

I had to take a picture of my cute big kids on their way to school. I don't know how they got so big. But I would like them to stop.
at first Jacob didn't want Hay to be in his picture. He was stinky and pouted but finally he cam around and smiled for my picture.
His teacher said he was a very sweet boy and shared his snack with the whole class.

Jacobs first church talk

Jacob gave his first talk in Primary today. He was really excited to do it, but I thought he would back out at the last minute. But when we got to church and I reminded him he said "yeah I get to talk into the microphone." So he did it so he could talk into the microphone but at least he did it. What a big boy he's turned into.

The talk Daddy helped him write:

D&C 124:40 And verily I say unto you, let this house be built unto my name, that I may reveal mine ordinances therein unto my people.

This house is the Temple, which is the House of God. In the temple, we promise to obey Heavenly Father and he promises blessings to us and our families. One of the special blessings He gives us is that we can be sealed to our mothers, fathers, brothers, sisters and ancestors. Our families can be together forever.

Primary Hymn - I love to see the temple.
I love to see the temple.
I’ll go inside someday.
I’ll cov’nant with my Father;
I’ll promise to obey.
For the temple is a holy place
Where we are sealed together.
As a child of God, I’ve learned this truth:
A fam’ly is forever.

We should have faith, be kind, helpful, obey our parents, keep commandments, and share with our brothers and sisters so we can prepare to enter the temple when we are old enough.

I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

Hay and Ben

I didn't realize these were on my phone. But when I found them I had to post them. He can be very loving when he wants to.
I went in to check on the kids to see what they were up to as they were being very quite and found that Ben had climbed up on Hailey's bunk bed. He is not suppose to be up there but he doesn't really think my rules apply to them.
