Sleeping baby

I don't know why but I think there's something so cute about a baby sleeping in our big King sized bed. I have pictures of all 3 of them at some stage sleeping in our bed.

Helping Aunt Ashley

We were playing wii one night and for some reason the big kids both decided they need to help Ashley play Mario kart. So being the good aunt she is she continued to play her game with 2 helpful button pushers in her lap.

8 is great

We had an 8 is great program tonight at church for all the kids who are turning 8 this year and are getting baptized. Now don't get me wrong I love my calling, I love helping the kids and doing the lords work, by helping guide his most precious little lambs in the Gospel. But my calling is stressful, so Sunday is not spiritual and uplifting for me, it's stressful and super busy. So I wasn't looking forward to the program for me it was just one more thing I had to get done. I went to church last night and helped get ready for it and sat down with the thought it's just a half hour and then I can go home. It was short and sweet, but it was the most spiritual experience I've had in a long time. The spirit was so strong there, I was on the verge of tears the entire time, being there with all these sweet little spirits that are so excited to do be baptized, listening to there sweet sincere answers to why they want to get baptized, and what they have to do to prepare to get baptized. It was great. I came home so uplifted and spiritually filled. It was the highlight of my week.

Hailey's restaurant

One night Hailey decided to turn our kitchen into a restaurant. She made a door and sign out of paper, and taped it to the wall and then she taped paper to the floor. I wasn't sure what they were so I asked her and she told me it was the thing you step on when you walk in the door, so I guess it was the floor mat.

It originally said "Haileys restunt 0 persent" we're not sure what the 0 percent was for. Then I said jokingly to her "Hay whats the deal what do you mean Hailey's restaurant who's doing the cooking here" So next thing I knew she'd taken a crayon and added my name so it said "Vicki and Hailey's restunt"

I went back to cooking and she came in with a piece of paper taped to her head and I said whats that and she told me " a Chef's hat" so trying to be a good mom I told her how great it looked and next thing I know she's made one for me to. I think I looked good in my hat.

She came in and asked me what we were having and I told her, so she made menu's for everyone. and at the end of the meal she whispered in my ear that she didn't know how to make a bill. So I helped her make a bill and we gave it to daddy. But he refused to pay.

You can't see it but when the meal was over Jacob got a piece of paper drew a bunch of circles on it and taped it above Hailey's closed sign. I had no idea what it was so I asked him and he told me they were the customers.

At some point during the evening, I looked at Hailey and she had taken her "chef's hat off", I then realized I still had mine on, so I asked her if it would hurt her feelings if I took mine off. So she told me "Yeah you can take it off, but it's gonna hurt" And she was right I had forgotten she had taped them to our heads.

Attack of the killer streamers

I was taking down the decorations from Jacob's party and Ben decided he needed to help me. He got all tangled up in the streamers, so he tried to run away, but they were still wrapped around his legs. As he ran down the hall to try to get away from them he would turn around and see they were still behind him so he would scream, and try to run faster. I wish I had my video camera handy to film it. I laughed at him for a few seconds and then helped him get untangled and went back to taking them down, when I looked down from the step stool he was playing with them again. I guess the temptation was just to strong.

Christmas with the Davis'

Jacob, Hailey, Maddi, Lucas, & Ben

We get together with the neighbors and exchange Christmas gifts. We weren't able to get it done before Christmas because our kids were sick and they were gone to visit family. So by the time I got my kids well and they got back from there trip it was mid January. But we had fun exchanged presents, and played Wii.

This picture has nothing to do with the exchange but I thought it was so cute when he stole Ryan's bowl of popcorn and sat there and ate it by the handful.

I was teasing Ryan a while back that our great grandchildren are going to look back at our family pictures and think he was a single father, because I'm never in any of the pictures. So one day i had done my hair and put makeup on and I decided that it was a good chance to try to get a good picture of my and baby Ben since I don't have very many.

Ben's girlfriend

We don't have good church babies. So one of us is usually in the hall with Ben most of time. Since I'm in the primary presidency now, It's usually Ryan. One Sunday I was taking pictures of the classes for the roles, and I was walking by and saw Ben and Taryn a little girl that also won't let her daddy go to class, and it was so cute I couldn't resist snapping a couple of pictures.

4th Birthday Party

I took Bubbi to the party store and let him pick out what kind of Party he wanted. And like a typical boy he picked Batman. He was so excited he talked about his Batman party for days.



Instead of Party hats he wanted these Batman masks. Everyone looked good in them. I couldn't get him to wear one long enough to take a picture of him



The kids got a Bubble machine from Santa so we decided to break it out the kids had a blast with it. I wouldn't let Ben outside by himself so Aunt Mammy took pity on him and took outside so he could play with the bubbles too.





He was really excited to have a pinata. This is the first pinata we've done, the kids were suppose to pull the strings, but my kids were very disappointed with that they wanted to whack it. It said it was not breakable, but after 4 kids whacked it they broke it open and everyone was very excited.





After they broke it open, My kids decided the Pinata needed a hair cut, I told them they could but they had to clean up the mess they made, so when they were done I broke out the vacuum and made them clean it up.



He got lots of great presents, He was really excited about his new big boy bike. He has only road it a couple of times, because he fell down one day so now he says it's scary.








The Cake looked really cool but maybe we should have ordered lighter colors, all the kids ended up with black and blue lips.
